Well time has passed like it always does. Life goes on and on and on. Looking at a niece's blog spot this morning reminded me of mine, so I thought I'd do a little update.

Took a great trip to Alaska in May with a group of friends. What a beautiful part of the country that is. We had 60 and 70 degree weather every day, saw Mt. McKinley every day we were on Denali.
We enjoyed lots of wild life sightings.

Ended the trip with the cruise down the inside passage. The captain brought the ship up close and personal to the Hubbard Glacier. This was the view from the veranda of our stateroom. The was quite a field of ice floes that we navigated through. Breathtaking!!

For our final destination we spent two nights near British Columbia, Vancouver Canada. Butchart Gardens was spectacular. It was created in an old limestone quarry.

We took lots of pictures and have loved showing them to the grandkids. Fun trip.

Well almost a year has passed but here I am. Knitting up a storm. Recently joined a sock club and am working on the first pair. It is in luscious blues with beading. Also created with a new cast on that leaves the sock very stretchy. This has been an adventure. I had trouble string the beads but my wonderful husband firured it out and strung them for me.

getting started

Just some random notes about all the things I love - Knitting, grandchildren, family. Relay for life to name a few.
